Podcaster’s problem: Everyone wants to sound like Don Lafontaine or Oprah Winfrey when recording a podcast. EQ is what adds little warmth and depth to your voice (without making it sound artificial of course!).
The truth is you don’t need to tweak EQ that much to get a desirable and much improved sound. While recording with the right microphone can give great results a little equalization can lift the voice and work wonders.
1. Select the voice track you wish to improve and go to Effects > Filter and EQ > Parametric Equalizer.
2. Play your audio back while tweaking the different frequencies (you can sweep up, down and along with your cursor like a periscope to find a desirable sound).
3. Happy with what you have? Apply the effect!
