NMEU 15 – Angus Miyaji – How New Media Works in Japan

Angus Miyaji
Born and bred in Japan, Angus Miyaji moved to the UK 12 years ago (his mother is Scottish so the UK wasn’t a distant place for him). He set up a printing and design business that helps Japanese companies in London.

Although Angus’ current business is a brick and mortar face-to-face type of business, he’s always had a strong passion for wanting to help Japanese people become more international. His business has been fairly successful, but a big change came after he read the 4 Hour Work Week and was inspired by Chris Ducker and Cliff Ravenscraft’s podcasts. Since then, Angus experimented with creating a virtual team (for his printing business), and now has 3 part-time virtual staff workers (and 3 non-virtual part-time staff).

Ever since he discovered the mind-blowing concept of virtual staff (or VAs), he realised how powerful this can be for Japanese people who are anxious about doing business overseas.

Angus’ current life goal has shifted towards helping Japanese businesses and entrepreneurs in Japan access the overseas market by utilising the help of virtual staff.
