Morning Ritual – Start the Day Right

Ten second water challenge. That is part of my morning ritual, one glass of water the moment I wake up. Today is day four of my one hundred new media tools to promote New Media Europe. I’ll be totally honest with you, today is looking gorgeous. The forecast is to get warmer than six degrees, so don’t worry, it’s not going to be that cold all day. Really I want to be outside, so I need to do something quick and efficient today.

I’ll be Using The Buffer App to Schedule Tweets

Here’s the new media tool I’m going to be focusing on for the next one hour, Buffer, Buffer and more Buffer. I’m going to be buffering. It’s 8:30 now. I’m going to do exactly one hour on Buffer scheduling as much as I possibly can. I’ll let you know how I get on one hour from now. That means by 9:30-ish I can be outside.

Recap on Snapchat Cross Promotion

A quick update on my Snapchat challenge from day three, cross promotion seemed to work really well, so I highly recommend cross promoting other Snapchatters on your Snapchat story. Facebook Ads, Google Ads, lots and lots of money, however, I will say a few really good people, I did ask everyone who added me yesterday where did you find me and some really interesting connections came from those ads.

I’ve now pulled the Facebook ad sticking just with Google Ads and I’ve refined my method down to one key word, who to add on Snapchat, which is dragging and a few clicks a day. Right now it’s all about filling that buffer. Nearly halfway through and I’ve got some good ideas into Buffer already. Bonus resource is SocialBro. Well, actually now it’s known as Audiense with an S. Very cool tool.

Tools to Curate Content for Buffer App

Audiense, formerly known as SocialBro helps me to find people in my community that are tweeting actively so I can find out what they’re up to and tweet about them. Another tool I love using is Twitonomy. You can sign in with Twitter. You can run a search on anyone and you can find out exactly what they’ve been tweeting about and their most popular tweets.

Buffer Imports Post Images

One of the features that I love about Buffer is actually drag through the images from a post that you share so you can select that, add it to your tweet which is cool. It’s funny when you’re really focused on getting something completed time seems to distort, it seems to go much faster than you’d like it to.

How Did I Do With Buffer?

Ding, ding, ding, time up. How did I do? I’m pretty pleased with what one hour of focus can do. I have got tweets set and scheduled for the week ahead. Buffer is such a great tool for sharing stuff that you want to put out there but you don’t want to do it all at once. You can time delay your updates. Check it out at Buffer.com. Now I am out to enjoy this.
