Podcaster’s problem: Often podcasters like to talk over the music at the beginning or end of their podcast. The key is to ensure that the music doesn’t overwhelm your voice and compliments it instead.

We call talkover music a “bed” in the audio production world.

1. Insert your music bed into the multitrack on a separate track to your voice recording.

2. Use the volume line on your music bed to alter the level of audio (by creating multiple envelope points if neded) so that the voice can be heard over the top.

3. Keep adjusting until the voice is intelligible over the music.
