Podcaster’s problem: As podcasters we should always save an audio podcast as an MP3 but getting the correct format is also important as this can affect audio quality, playback compatibility and file download sizes.
1. Go to File > Save As… and select MP3 Audio (*.mp3) as the Format.
2. Selecting Sample Type and Format Settings will vary depending on your type of podcast.
Music Based Podcasts (this includes podcasters that use intros (or other branding elements) with music)
Sample Type: 44100 Hz Stereo, 16-bit
Format Settings: MP3 128 Kbps CBR
Speech Based Podcasts (just the speech – no branding elements used)
Sample Type: 44100 Hz Mono, 16-bit
Format Settings: MP3 64 Kbps CBR
3. Click OK to save your podcast to mp3 file using Adobe Audition’s advanced MP3 encoder.
